Do you want to build your photography business, and have fun at the same time?

Photography can be a tough business. To really make a go at it, you have to be an artist, a marketing expert, a human resources manager, an accountant, a technician ... well the list goes on and on.

Annapolis photographer, David Anderson, formed PPOGA in March of 1998 with these things in mind. Plus, he realized the need for an alternative, or an enhancement to the big state and national associations. PPOGA, on a local level, can help you build your photography business by learning and sharing with others in your field who are doing the same. PPOGA will help you excel in the professionalism of your artistry, and just as importantly, the professionalism of your business.

Although our name says Annapolis, our members come from as far away as Baltimore and DC, the Eastern Shore, and southern Virginia. They have found that the trip is very worth their while!

PPOGA meets monthly at a member's studio, or sometimes at a local restaurant or at an industry vendor's place of business. The meetings feature a main topic of interest, or a guest speaker, and are very informal and usually include a good meal. Due to the small size and informal nature, all members share in the fun by relating their problems, solutions, or just interesting stories. One of the goals of PPOGA is to build a spirit of camaraderie among friends, and this format is the perfect way to accomplish that goal.
